Baby’s Requests

I watch you as you stood
there and stared into my room.

I saw the tears fall down your cheeks
your heart full of gloom.

An empty crib with no baby there,
no baby to rock in the old rockin' chair.

No toys on the floor or sweet lullabies.
Only a grieving heart and tear stained eyes.

You’re thinking in your mind.
How will I ever go on without a little baby
to call my very  own?

My request to you is simple.
Please look around and see
all the little children you could
love for me.
